Most Wood-Mizer portable sawmills can handle just about any log length imaginable. You can add 1.8 m or 3.6 m or 7.2 m extensions to the existing bed sections, and tackle super-long logs with ease. Bed extensions are not only useful for cutting single logs. 

Many operators utilise extra-long beds in order to load and cut two logs in the same pass, increasing production dramatically. This is common in places where extra workers can assist the operator with log loading and handling while the operator concentrates on sawing.

  • BX0.5 - 500 mm extension
  • BX6 - 1.8 m extension
  • BX12 - 3.6 m extension
  • BX24 - 7.2 m extension

HYDRAULIC

Hydraulic bed extensions are available for LT20, LT40, and LT70 AC sawmills with the “M” bed frame.
